Simple answer - No.

However, if the original fields are different lengths then there are techniques you could use.

The more complex (and less efficient) approach would be to interrogate the descriptors to determine the length passed. But a simpler option, if it doesn't cause other problems, it to define the parm as Varying Const. That way %Len(ParmName) will tell you what the length of the parm was. Don't know enough about what you are trying to do to know if is of any use for you or not.
