1) It's already in *SCS format - using O specs, so it's more of an effort to externalize it and then add the functionality.

2) AFP functionality is not consistent between different makes and models of printers, especially when HPT is used.

3) Since this is the only AFP functionality required I wanted to see if anyone could think of a quick way to accomplish this.
