I don't think so, but I use the following method to validate:

For format YYYYMM:

TEST(D E) *ISO ( 100 * YearMo + 01 ) ;
If %Error ;

Or for format MMYYYY:

TEST(D E) *EUR ( MoYear + 01000000 ) ;
If %Error ;

Two digit date MMYY:

TEST(D E) *DMY ( MoYr + 10000 ) ;
If %Error ;

etc.

We have expiration dates that we will be having clerks enter into our
system. I do not want them entering days because its not important.

only need them to enter month / year. Is there a way to actually
have a
date data type on a display file that will allow a month / year
entry....if it wants to default to the last day of the month, fine
but I
only want to display month / year.
