Simon - I did search the archives and did see the faq, but didn't find

this single problem hence my request for assistance.

It has NOTHING to do with RPG to RPG calls. You're not even doing a program-to-program call. You're submitting a job. The programming language is immaterial.

This is SUCH a simple problem it shouldn't take that long to resolve nor find an explanation:

A Google search for:

sbmjob parameters site:midrange.com

gave a gazillion hits most of which are directly related to your "problem"

A search of the Midrange FAQ for sbmjob gave 10 hits--again related to this "problem"

The last entry (which is also 5th in Google's results) gives an adequate explanation although the title is wrong and it's too specific because it's NOT a "CL parameter problem"

Besides, this has been discussed so often over the past few years I would have expected anyone following the list for any length of time to have absorbed this.

Simon Coulter.
