I am not sure if this is the same problem or not, but when we are passing
parms between a CL and an rpg, we typically pass them as char so as to
avoid the garbled data issue, and then convert them back. A little extra
work on the rpg side but less hassle in the long run.

Subject: Re: Passing Parms from RPGLE to RPGLE

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Doug - I originally tried use CLLE, that's when the problem started and I
recalled that passing parms to submitted jobs that call RPG are
problematic.

Sharon - thanks - I'll give that a try.

Adam - yes I can enter sbmjob on the command line and enter my command
name and press f4 and it brings up the prompt.

Simon - I did search the archives and did see the faq, but didn't find
anything specific for rpg to rpg calls. I've spent almost four hours on
this single problem hence my request for assistance.

Regards, Jerry
