Ah, the order I was reading the thread, it sounded like you were responding to Tim's email that said

"Put the minus on the left -100
Then format in excel and it will work fine..."

which made it sound like you were saying you weren't aware of an edit code to put the minus on the left.

Edit codes N, O, P or Q provide a "floating minus" sign.
