Rob - I don't think we can assume anything - you know that we are developing to V5R1 - and we don't need to go into the oft-elongated discussions we have had on that - you are not a software house, your situation is very different from ISVs.

Hence, I will always lobby for naming the release when a certain feature appeared - especially in regard to SQL. I really appreciate all the What's new in VxRx in the RPG ILE Reference - I just wish there were a place where the opcodes and %BIFs and keywords were all listed, and then tell when the item first appeared. All the APIs do that, albeit in their own docs, not in a summary list.

Hey!!! Maybe there could be an RPG Programmer's Reference Summary - who'da thunk it was possible? Wait!! There used to be one!!!

I think that we can safely assume that, unless stated that they are running an obsolete compiler, we don't need the disclaimer if all currently supported versions of the OS support that function. I can guarantee that, unless they state they are running V2R2 or earlier (and I REALLY felt generous that day) that I am not going to state that "this function requires you be on V2R3 or later".
