Adam, I'm not sure I understand the business requirement here - do you want to FORCE them to hit field exit? That can be done. I believe the keyword is CHECK(FE).

But why do you want 5-blank to be treated as 50? If your users want to enter 50, they should enter 5-0, not 5-blank.
