Well, why am I not surprised that you're directionally challenged, David?

Actually, my tongue was somewhat planted in my cheek. My point was/is that this whole class-module, etc., thing is a design paradigm. Regardless of the differences between OO and procedural languages, it's still a top-down design methodology. The comments about RPG IV not having classes is rather pedantic in my view; at best a matter of semantics. The example that I gave would, it seems (thanks to your and James' explanation) be analogous to a jar file with classes, though our polemic calls it a service program with subprocedures.
