When the WINDOW is shown, the record information underneath with the same name changes to match that of the WINDOW.

I can get round the problem with RSTDSP(*NO), then closing and reopening DSPF2 each time the function key is pressed, but that makes the screen flash.

ASSUME will stop the flash.

However, we need to know more about the code involved to solve the real problem. Create a sample test-case that manifests the problem. No real data just sample DSPF1 and DSPF2 plus sample modules that invoke and show the defective behaviour.
