If the second OFFSET is defined in the prototype, that would explain why
there is no compile error. In a prototype, the field name is only there
for documentation purposes (no storage is allocated). But, strangely, if
you want to define the parameter with the like keyword, you must supply
a field name, othewise it is optional.

No; the two fields named OFFSET have absolutely nothing to do with each

other. The prototype for QtmmSendMail has the relevant parameter
defined
as "like" the data structure, but that's as close as it gets.

And what's a LIKEDS, anyway? I don't see it in the manual for the
compiler we have here. LIKE, but no LIKEDS.
