Mike,

The lack of responses to this post may reflect the lack of information in it. A couple of things I thought about when I read your post:

1. Do you know that the file uploaded from the "UPS machine" has changed? If so, how has it changed? The manufacturer of the machine should be able to tell you.

2. Is the RPG program one that you wrote? If so, you'll need to identify the changes in the uploaded file and handle them in your program.

As for your question "Do you have to send along other fields that are not 'wanded'?" We cannot know that unless we know the requirements of your program.

Without an indication of who manufactured the "UPS machine", what software or API's it comes with or any clue of what the file and RPG program looks like, there isn't much help we can give you.

HI We are getting the new UPS (United Parcel Serice) machine with a wand for data entry. Currently we upload files from a disk in the machine to the AS./400. What changed have to be made in the RPG side of the programs to take in this field? Do you have to send along other fields that are not 'wanded'?
