Wayne,

I understand. I prefer to ask such questions one-on-one, and if it sounds like somebody is getting
their wires crossed, I make every effort to help them realize and fix it.

I'm not one for wanting somebody who has memorized the manual....heck, I haven't why should I expect
it of anybody else? From my point of view, there's more import things to keep in your brain other
than the exact syntax of some op-code you don't use often.

IMHO, understanding a language has little to do with memorizing the syntax of the op-codes.

Honestly, I'm not sure I'd want somebody who didn't feel the need to keep the RPG Reference manual
nearby. (Unless it was Scott, Paul, Jon, ect ;)

Subject: Re: Need Some RPG Technical Questions

I flubbed the EXFMT question in a phone interview many years ago. I had
just been writing a sort application using the FMTDTA command and had a
brain fart and answered with the wrong FMT. Dead silence on the other
end of the phone, then a "Thank you, we'll let you know." It still
stings.
