I spent a whole day interviewing once. Talked to personnel, CEO, finance,
God of IT. Blew the interview with the peers. What failed it? According
to the God of IT (who was out of the room during the peer review and only
got what the peers said) it was when I was asked about imbedding SQL into
AS/SET. I said that I did that and offered that we all roll up our
sleeves and let's just sit down and I'll whip up an AS/SET application
that has some imbedded SQL.
Personally, I think they were threatened by me.
