We just had to add a new column to a sql table and after the file was
recompiled we noticed that when new rows are inserted, the identity column
is reseeded with a starting value of 1. We assumed it would work like it
does in Sql Server and not reseed unless we told it to. I can't find
anything in the IBM documentation that refers to this. I know that we could
add a "start with" value on the create table statement and hardcode the next
value any time we have to modify the table, but there seems like there
should be a better way. If it makes any difference, we use Aldon as our
change management and normally just add the new column to the table and
promote it.

Thanks for any help.
