Thanks to all who replied!

I finally found the cause of the problem: Prior to the SETLL I was
calling a procedure that didn't have a parameter properly set to a value.
I could have set the parameter prior to the call, but I found a better way
to accomplish the same thing, removed the call to the procedure, and the
program stopped crashing!
