Re: read/chain record format or file name?

Hi James,

If you are planning on teaching then maybe the input of a junior would
help.
I've learnt and prefer to read/chain to the file name and to
write/update the record wherever possible, bearing in mind the
exceptions that were listed by many.

The reason I pose the question is I am teaching a class in RPG (/free,

you care) at a community college this semester and prefer to teach best

practices from the start.
