Hi James,

That break even ratio sounds a bit excessive, but I have not tested it... I can't imagine why a DB exception would be that expensive. Do you have any documentation that describes this?

it becomes a good idea to pre-check, is something like 1 collision in 5
writes. Maybe even only one in ten.
