Hi Vincenzo,

I've written a series of articles that show how to run SQL statements
against MySQL, SQL Server and Oracle databases from your RPG programs
using Java (JDBC) database drivers.

In contrast to what Vern said, you do NOT have to do any Java
programming to make this work -- the articles come with an RPG service
program that you call. You do have to understand a few basic Java
concepts -- such as CLASSPATH -- so there's a learning curve, but it's
small by comparison to learning Java.
