I have an opinion oriented question. I have noticed in our shop that
many programs use multiple displays within one program. What is the
prevailing wisdom of many displays in a program versus one program/one
display?

Just to clarify, are we discussing multiple display file objects -or-
multiple formats in a single display file object?

(From the user's perspective, a "display" will typically constitute a
number of record formats using such keywords as OVERLAY, PUTOVR/OVRATR,
WINDOW, etc.)
