Sheri

There IS a simple way to add the BARCODE but not in internal specs - convert it to an externally-described printer file and you are golden.

If you can, find the QSAMPLER library. It had great examples for doing AFP stuff - including barcodes. But IBM seems to have made it unavailable, and Ricoh, who now have IBM printing, don't seem to have it anywhere.

Maybe someone on the list has the SAVF - I might be able to find it myself - we have the library on our machine.

Phil, we not have any bar code packages like T.L Ashford.

Charles, we would be printing the bar codes on the Epson printer, not
the OKIDATA's. When I go on the IBM knowledge web site, it has this
printer listed under support for ASCII printers, so I thought I would be
able to use it for BarCoding.

I configured the printer as remote outq and have been able to print my
existing pick slip on the Epson without a barcode. I was hoping there
was a simple way to add the BARCODE keyword to somewhere in my output
specs (internally described in my program) to make the barcode print.
