RPC is not much fun.

Why not use APPN LU 6.2 peer support? The DDS keyword EVOKE lets one fire up a program on the remote system. ICF Programming http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/systems/scope/i5os/topic/books/sc415442.pdf chapter 11 has examples in RPG.
