The APIs on PCs is huge part of what makes iSeries Access preferable to
competing products.

Note, the toolkit and APIs are included in the "no-charge" part of iSeries
Access. That is, all System i customers have the option of installing this
part of iSeries Access on their PCs, regardless of their licensing of
iSeries Access or the seleection of another product.

The licensing pertains to the 5250 emulation/printer components and the data
transfer components. (Although ODBC, OLE DB and the .NET Provider are listed
in the installer under Data Transfer, those three options are available
"no-charge").

THAT is an excellent point. It had never really occurred to me before on that level even though I've pointed out to others that the drivers were available.

But the APIs and related... Thanks for reminder.
