Thanks Kurt and Jon for your help with this,

another option was to define three separate arrays each of which is
based on it's own pointer (this would allow the maximum entries unlike
Jon's solution which limits the entire size of the array to 65536
bytes).

I eventually stuck with Jon's version which still gives me more than
enough array entries (65535/32 = 2047) for my intended purpose.

Just curious as to why the data structure StructArray length is 32
instead of 30 like a standalone data structure?, all the fields are
aligned optimally as far as I can tell.

Thanks again!

Paul,

This is about as close as you can get right now as DS array support does not
encompass the kind of thing you are trying to do. Coded this way you can
reference field or RetCod as arrays (Ptr too but there's no point! <pun
intended>)

D Struct DS
D Based(pStruct)
D StructArray Dim(32767)
D Ptr * Overlay(StructArray)
D Retcod 10i 0 Overlay(StructArray : *Next)
D field 10a Overlay(StructArray : *Next)
