Well, for some real simple stuff iSeries Access supports macros. It's
processing that 8 rows on a screen, rolling down, processing some more,
rinse, lather, repeat, that adds some complexity to the macro.

There is some testing software out there which may do this. If nothing
else, it lets you know that there probably api's to handle this on the
screen. Sorry I can't give you more details than that.

And, while there is something to be said for allowing the software to
process all data so that it enforces the business rules, I might be sorely
tempted to run a little sql to
update assetmaster set taxrate = taxrate*1.035 where state = "TX"
than bother with an api to emulate data entry.
