Alan,

Display File outlined in the above article for quite some time. A
question
has been asked of me to see if its possible to capture the use of
"OTHER"
keys

In a word, no. That's because the 5250 paradigm is designed for block
communications, and most keystrokes are handled locally the the
workstation
controller (or equivalent). The exceptions are the so-called Attention
IDentification keys, or AID, which the WS controller signals back to the
OS
to get its Attention, and IDentify which key caused it.

The AID generating keys are Enter, Fx, Roll/Page up/down, Home (when
cursor
in home position), record backspace (not character backspace), and if I
mismember right, Clear.

Normal alphabetic keys and Ctrl/Alt combos do to not generate an AID
response to the system. Because of OfficeVision, the 5250 data stream
and
WS controllers were enhanced with a so-called word processing mode, and
the
rules change. But that isn't used with a DSPF or UIM panel etc, so isn't
part of the equation here.
