Re: check for record changed between read/chain(n) and update

That's what I get for trying to rely on my memory when I don't have the
source in front of me. the CLCMYR and CLCMYC fields were also defined in
the display file this program uses.
When I changed the names of the fields in the display the program recompiled
and the DS WAS loaded on the chain.

No. That is just the first field in the file. The error message is also
on the second field CLCMYC. These two fields are the key fields for the
file.
