Does anyone know of a batch undelete program? I have 26,000 deleted records to restore in a file of 33,0000 and
backups are not certain to correctly restore file and the
file is not journalled.

There have been a couple of different approaches to undeleting records, and the key is that the records are only recoverable if the file has not been reorganized, and the records have not been recycled in any other way.

One approach has involved unsupported hacks in a patched *PGM that won't run above a certain security level, while the other approach has involved (if memory serves) saving the file to a *SAVF, manipulating the *SAVF, and then restoring it.

If memory serves correctly, Dave McKenzie came up with it, and you can read all about it just by searching for UNDEL in the MI400 and MIDRANGE-L archives.
