Hi Charles,

You'll find the documentation in the Embedded SQL Programming-Book under
Names in ILE RPG applications that use SQL:
http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/iseries/v5r4/index.jsp?topic=/rzajp
/rzajprpiamco.htm

Betreff: Using variable names that start SQL, Barbara said not too?

All,

I (think) I remember seeing a post from Barbara a few months ago that said
something to the effect that you shouldn't have variable names that begin
with SQL when writing embedded SQL programs.

Something about SQLxxx names being reserved for IBM use.

I can't find the message now. Did anybody else happen to save a link to it?

Or perhaps Barbara wouldn't mind restating the facts?

Thanks,
Charles Wilt
