Mochasoft is pretty good. Rikascom also has a "on-line" 5250 emulator

Thanks, Tommy. I think the prices at Rikas Communications are pretty
reasonable...:). I will get WDSc 6.0 from them but I do not have access
to
'Client Access' any more. What other 5250 emulator is the best to use?

Kind regards,
Misty.

Thanks for the generous input. Timeshare seems to be a very good
option.
I
am thinking of getting a basic developer account with somebody like
http://www.virtual400.com and see if that fulfills my needs. RPG could
go a
long way if somebody started open sourcing some RPG tools atleast, my
0.02$on it...:). Any more suggestions are most welcome. This is a
totally
personal venture trying to keep my very limited RPG skills alive so I
will
definitely love 'cheap' options...:).

Kind regards,
Misty.

I have an account from a company (Rikas Communications) that will
even
give you a copy of WDSc 6.0 on a DVD with a 1-year subscription.

Hello Guru's,
I really feel like I am a 'Child of a lesser God'...(*pun
intended*).
I
worked at a iSeries shop before taking up a new job. I started
getting
into
RPG and was slowly trying to learn it. The place that I am working
at
now
does not have an iSeries. Is it impossible for me to continue
learning
RPG
without an iSeries? I do not want to leave that skill half learnt. I
still
want to continue learning it so that I can get into some real RPG
programming in the near future. Are there any windows based RPG
compilers
available out there? Any free tools? Any suggestions would be
greatly
helpful. TIA.

Kindest regards,
Misty.
