The default for the command STRTCPSVR *NTP is *CLIENT. What I needed to
do what change the second parameter NTPSVR to *ALL. However, another
option for that parameter is *CFGFILE. That goes out to the file which
is the result of the CHGNTPA command, and starts whatever has been set
up. The problem still exists though, that I need to add the parameter
which causes *PRV to blow up the compile.

Resolved by doing a CHGCMDDFT for STRTCPSVR NTPSVR to *CHGNTPA. Since
I'm not calling for the parameter I'm ok on both 5.2 and 5.3! Yea!!

Subject: STRTCPSVR *NTP

I don't see a CLP forum, so I spoz that this will do...

I have just been baptized into NTP and getting it to run on my 5.2
boxes, using my 5.3 box as a server.

I have a QSTRUP ILE program that is on ALL our systems, both 5.2 and
5.3. However, the 5.2 STRTCPSVR *NTP command doesn't have a "server"
option - my compiles are blowing up because I am compiling to *PRV for
the 5.2 systems.

I >think< my only recourse is to create two QSTRUP programs, one for 5.3
and another for 5.2. I would prefer to only have one program. Any ideas?

Dave
