Why not just change it to *Nomax without checking it. If it is already at
*Nomax it won't hurt it nor give you a message. You can do it within rpg but
make sure you monitor for message. It won't allow the change if it is in use.

Good Luck

No reason I am aware of the CLP method, just to see how it can be done
another way.

I'd like to advise you to use a more appropriate language for this type
of actions: CLP. There you can easily do a DSPFD <lib>/*ALL to an
outfile and go through the outfile to find the files that you need to
change.

Is there a particular reason why you /must/ use RPG?

My 2 cents.

Cor

HI, is there a way in RPG using API to check all files to see
which are not set to *NOMAX, then make it *NOMAX?

Thank you,

Phil
