He didn't *need* to.  Freaking me out was the objective.


In fact, since he was our resident (only) Windows geek on the project, I told him that I thought I had a virus and asked for his expertise. "Gee, never seen anything like that." And never once flinched; kept a perplexed, puzzled look on his face the whole time.

That reminds me of the Windows programmer that put a program on my PC so that he could remotely open and close the CD drawer on my PC. Freaked me out, man! If he had used the registry to load it on start up, I never would have found it (not being a gear head), but he used the win.ini file.
