I have used the suggestion by Jon only in a different way - not sure if

it is the right way but it seems to work.

The biggest problem with this approach Ewart is that it relies on you to
remember that if you change any of the fields in the sort key, you must
adjust the length of your group field manually.  Personally I always go for
the coding approach that means the compiler works out such things for me!
Getting on in years - the less I strain my aging brain ...
