A good idea about building the files on a monthly basis.  However, since I'm
only doing this for one of our 900+ clients, I've decided to just select on
the fly at month end.  We actually do have some files like this, but this
client has needs that go beyond our current collection of data.

Thanks again for the UDTF suggestion.  I've even been able to understand
enough to make a couple of small tweaks to it.  I love having an example
that I can learn from...make generalizations...then use the concept again
later.  Thanks for the great learning tool.  (And, you are the "Queen of
SQL"!)  It was interesting to see that the "function" is created as a
*SRVPGM.  Now I have to figure out how to install this using Arcad...another
learning experience.
