Jay - I can only guess that the field QDRATE is one of the following
The field QDRATE does NOT exist (or you mis-spelled the field name)
The field QDRATE is on both  files and therefore you have to quantify the
different fields.

That would be the IN predicate
for example
SELECT CUSTID, NAME FROM CUSTOMER WHERE CUSTSTATE IN ('NY', 'NJ','PA')

OR

WAREHOUSE)
