Docs aren't handy?  You ought to get a "web browser" for your computer.  A 
web browser will allow you to search something called the internet for 
manuals, etc.  For example, you could go to this link

In the What's New section you can see that V5R1 added EXTFILE and EXTMBR.
Another place to drill down into the manuals is at
