Yeah...I was going to test that before I posted that message as I
thought that's how that worked, but I figured it wasn't that important
to the point I was trying to make.  

My point was that if you have changed the source so it no longer matches
the compiled object, you have to recompile it to run it under debug and
once you do that, you are no longer working with the same object that
caused the original error...so how do you know you have not introduced
new errors by changing the source and/or how do you determine what was
going on at the point of the original error since there is every reason
to believe at this point that the source lines no longer match up to the
compiled object?

First there is no such option for RPG400.

Second even if you had done it it wouldn't help.  The only debug option
that
preserves a copy of the source is *LIST.  *SOURCE does _not_ keep a copy
