I seem to remember something (from IBM, I think saying that typically a
converted RPGIV bound program actually runs slower (and is larger) than the
unconverted RPGIII program (although possibly infinitesimally so). I have
always been under the impression that you wouldn't get any performance
benefits until you start making use of ILE features, rather than simply
converting the source and using CRTBNDRPG.

Was I wrong all along?
