You can leave out the "qualified DSes" part of that Charles.  
No-name fields
(just like group fields) can be used in RPG IV DSes of all flavors.

Like so:

     D                                1a
     D   name2                        1a
     D   group
     D    groupName1                  1a   Overlay(group)
     D                                1a   Overlay(group: *next)
     D    groupName2                  1a   Overlay(group: *next)
