In fix format, I use to do below for infinite loop
C                do        *hival

is there a way to do this similar syntax in free format with declare
a
variable?

I do it two ways.

1. I just use

 DoU 0 = 1;

2. You can use an empty For loop.

 For x;

I just prefer the DoU myself. I have always wanted IBM to give us a Loop
op code. That way it would be clear.

Loop;
  ....
  Iter;
  ...
  Leave;
EndLoop;
