I always like use an indicator variable for inifinite loops:

      D Done            s               n   inz(*off)
       /free
        DOU Done;
           //Do Stuff
        ENDDO;
       /end-free

Then I use LEAVE to get out and never touch Done. This way you don't have to
worry about the upper limits of *HIVAL nor do you waste cycles comparing 1 to 1.

  Subject: infinite loop

  In fix format, I use to do below for infinite loop
  C                do        *hival

  is there a way to do this similar syntax in free format with declare a
  variable?
