Hi Scott,

Sorry, I think I worded that statement inaccurate! - I know that a socket
can be passed from one job to another (using the givedescriptor() and
takedescriptor() APIs), but is it possible for two separate jobs
simultaneously to read from and write to the same socket, respectively?

Best regards,
Carsten

A socket cannot be shared between two different jobs however, so to make
it work, thread programming is involved. What happens is that the job
reading from the socket spawns of a child thread which takes care of
writing to the socket.

Sockets can be shared across two jobs!!
