Larrys mom made liver too...lol..I think of that from when I was a kid every
time I hear the name Larry...

Yeah that kinda thru me off too, but have used 5 or 6 of the courses in the
past. I think it is a step above training from a book in that it is actually
hands on, they step you thru writing, compiling, and running RPG programs.
By the 3rd course you are writing interactive programs and subfiles. Each
course contains 5-6 cassette tapes.

Thanks

Jim

Hi

I have used ATS self-study courses, self-paced, they are a combination
of a
workbook, audio tapes, and an AS400 library that steps you through. I
recently purchased a query course for a client and they were satisfied:

Since everyone else is pushing RPGIV, can we assume you are
in a shop working and maintaining RPGIII? or as Mike suggested,
you are looking for the fundamentals of RPG III & IV for beginners?
I have seen shops use the Manta training tools for a self-study cource.
There are many modules to RPG from fundamental to advanced.

What programming have you done previously?

I'd like to start with RPG IV, but those classes seem to be for people
who already know RPG. They appear to be teaching the only new
features
of RPG IV.

Patty, I think you could start directly at RPG IV.

I am new to RPG and trying to find some classes. All I seem to find
is
RPG IV classes that are for people who already know RPG III. I don't.
I need to start at the beginning. Anyone know of any classes being
offered in the United States?
