RE: SFLDROP (Subfile Drop) Question

Peter,

I tried this and it works.  Only, I can't disable the function key that is
assigned to the SFLDROP keyword.  It still creates the bug if the user were
to find it.

I get that too when using the function key named on the SFLDROP/SFLFOLD DDS
keywords. It's a "feature" of the operating system because it isn't
returning to your program. I get around by not using that function key.
Instead I code a different one for compress/uncompress that returns to the
RPG program where I can change the subfile mode and properly calculate the
page to display along with the subfile line on which the cursor should
appear on.

  I have a program with a subfile that displays 12 records at a time.  Each
  time I page down, I add 12 more records.  I use the SFLDROP keyword to let
  the user view a second line of data when an f-key is pressed.  So far,
  nothing out of the ordinary.

   

  Here's then scenario: Program opens by displaying the subfile collapsed, 1
  line for each record, 12 records.  I press the function key to show the
  subfile expanded.  I now see the first 6 records, 2 lines for each record,
  as expected.  I pagedown once, now I see the next 6 records from the
  collapsed screen, 2 lines each, still as expected.  Here's the funny part:
I
  hit the function key to collapse the subfile again and I see the last 6
  records, one line each, and 6 blank lines following:  Since I haven't
paged
  down enough yet to add 12 more records to the subfile.  If I page down
now,
  12 more records get read, and the second full page of 12 records is
  displayed.  

   

  I'd appreciate your suggestions.
