If you go to the V5R4 Information Center and search on 'sha-1 hash' you 
will get several hits.   One, the first in my search, is Calculate Hash 
(C3CALHA, Qc3CalculateHash).  Selecting this gets you to

a.htm

Looking at the API documentation, format ALGD0500 supports MD5, SHA-1, 
SHA-256, SHA-384, and SHA-512.
