I will second the use of Aaron's stuff. He did a great job. He was even quick to answer some questions/issues I had.
I went his JavaMail route because I was having issues with MMAIL and how they changed some things in the latest version of it. I had a need to run multiple (15+) processing jobs at the same time. MMAIL was always having LckW issues.
