RE: Half of the subfile in display mode and half into the add mode

Hi Amit

You can use the DSPATR(PR) keyword in the DDS at field level to protect
fields.  Make this line indicator controlled.  Repeat this for all
fields in your Subfile record.

Then update the subfile from your RPG, turning this indicator off or on
depending on whether you want the User to update the field.

hi ,

I have a requirement where  users are going to enter the data through
subfile and once the data is enter the same data should get displayed

back

on screen in the display mode as well as at the bottom the user should

able to enter more data through the subile.
I am not sure if it is possible with one subfile, i have tried to do

it

but the system shows the existing records in the editable mode rather

than

display mode,

is it possible to display the same subfile in display mode for

existing

records and then in the add mode on the same screen.
