Hi Lynda,

this is not quite correct!
SQL does not care about the date format specified in either D- or H-specs.
(It does not override!)
The SQL precompiler generates additional variables for each host variable
used in your SQL statements.
In absence of other information it uses the date format specified in the
compile command CRTSQLRPGI (Option DATFMT).
The default value in the compile command is *JOB and the job's date format
normally uses a 2 digit year format.

To avoid this troubles, you either have to change the option in the compile
command or add a SET OPTION statement into your source code. Before release
V5R4M0 a SET OPTION statement could be placed whereever you wanted in your
source code. Beginning with Release V5R4M0 a SET OPTION statement must
preceed all other SQL statements.

C/EXEC SQL Set Option DatFmt = *ISO
C/END-EXEC

Mit freundlichen Grüßen / Best regards

Birgitta

I figured it out. Turnover's compile parameters had date of *job which was
*mdy. Changed it to *ISO and it worked like a charm. This was overriding the
parms in the "H" specs of *ISO.
