RE: RPG, 10 years from now

In 1982, when I was in college learning RPG, I was told then (by the
COBOL'rs) that RPG was a dead end language and there was no future in
pursuing anything related to RPG....

Heck RPGII is still around. It was greatly discussed on this very forum
this past month.

RPG isn't going anywhere.

Ask your boss about DBASE, FOXPRO, ACCESS 2.0/95/97/2000/2003 etc. Those
products have great long term support -as long as you don't mind
re-writing/fixing/debugging the code after every upgrade ;)

Happy Friday!
